Three Greatest Moments In Toto Asia History
The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure the next generation could read the words. However, many of the words were being replaced by foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
The early history of Toto which began in 1917, mirrored Japan's rapid economic expansion. In the first half, Toto produced products to meet the demands for modern, contemporary urban housing. To do this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the country to make ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s the company began to expand overseas in order to profit from sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and market other manufacturers' products in order to enhance its own line of sanitary earthenwares as well as plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm’s global market share.
In the late 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis on research and development for household appliances that are water-related. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve customers and increase profit. The company adopted a just-in-time approach to managing its supply chain and applied the same methodology in its sales strategy. This resulted in a higher level of satisfaction of customers.
Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for instance, has an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more ecologically friendly than conventional toilets. The company makes use of recycled water for its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets, Toto produces bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in energy use than standard models.
The first museum of the company opened in 2015 It has exhibits about Toto's iconic products and their development, its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and products like bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has bathrooms with a WASHLET as well as other toilet innovations.
Before forming Toto, members of the band did session work for a variety of musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also played on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia one would expect the group to be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly straightforward rock group. The group began as a quartet, and they recorded two albums: 1979's self titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. But even though the band 스포츠토토 have a diverse musical background their biggest hit was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster but not without its difficulties. Record companies put the band on place with the directive "give us a hit record or we'll drop you" and the pressure was on to deliver. Luckily for Toto, they did and they did it with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their prior experience in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their distinctive sound has become the norm for '80s pop, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound, with songs such as Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write fantastic AOR songs that slowly work their hooks into your mind. The album also has some more mellow, jazzy tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that mixes folk with distortion AOR and sounds like a complete flop, but works wonderfully well.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to wane. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career, and the band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turbulence. It was not as popular as IV. The band was able to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was also the first album featuring the new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a more ferocious, consistent effort with an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was a reflection of the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater proficiency on the drums, as well as a more mature, confident vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard work was also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on earlier efforts.
After touring to promote their album, 토지노 커뮤니티 the group recorded their Amsterdam live show which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. A new studio album was released just a few months later and the group went on a world-wide tour in support of it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, 토지노 커뮤니티 and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new record featuring songs that were never recorded before. The album was released in 2001 as a duo album called Then and Now. It was the first album in the history of the band not to include any single song that had the word "A" in the title, and it also contained one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that affected his singing abilities. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville, while drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes along with the other original members of Asia - Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of restructuring the band. This lineup, minus Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also had an appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
