Roasting
As a light roast, Lazy Sunday is a light roast that is easy on the palate, and then softens into a warm embrace for your senses. The cocoa from Latin America is used to smooth out the brew while Africa provides citrus notes to balance. The result is a cup that can be consumed by itself, or paired with milk chocolate or cake. It would complement lemon drizzle cakes and vanilla sponges.
We recommend the French Press method to brew this coffee. Heating your vessel by adding some water that has just been boiled will keep it warm. After brewing, let the coffee sit for 4 minutes. This ensures that all the grounds have been filled with water and are not being over-extracted. The water should be pushed through with the plunger. Do not stir or agitate your coffee, as this could result in unpleasant odors appearing in your cup.
Strength - 3, soft and easy to follow, perfect for weekend relaxing.
Stores
Lazy Sunday is a soft light roast that has a sweet, citrus and cocoa scent. It has a soft mouth feel that caresses the palette. The hints of cocoa can be traced back to a winters day sat on the sofa with an enjoyable book and a warm hug from the family. Pre-heat your French Press by using water that isn't at the boiling point. This is recommended to prevent the coffee from over extracting and creating unwanted elements in the drink. Add the grounds, and 250ml of water that is off the boil. Steep for four minutes, take a plunge and relax.
