Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader lets players upgrade items their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the preview of an item level Upgrade's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade items for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to use them properly. It's best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
