Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet arrangement of previous albums. It was a stronger, more consistent effort with a harder edge than Hydra. Its edgier sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
